Our History
In 1998 with the help of a loan of £2000 from The Prince’s Trust, Cory Smith set up Cory’s Car Repairs. He used the money to buy a van, tools, clothing, insurance and a mobile phone. Then he went out in the van offering a mobile car repair service. Full of enthusiasm and passion for what he did, Cory worked hard and his customer base grew.
After 18 months he rented a small workshop on a farm where he could fit two vehicles in and took on Robin as a part-time employee.
In 2003, with a solid base of happy, faithful customers the business moved into unit 17 Arches Lane Business Centre.
In 2005 he employed Jorge full-time and then Andy. In 2006 Cory first bought unit 17 and then unit 16 next door, enabling him to expand the business and open Cory’s Tyres. In 2009 Gavin joined the team working full-time. Robin continues to work for Cory part-time. During 2010 Cory’s Car Repairs has grown again with both Paul and Brian joining the team.
The reputation of Cory’s Car Repairs continues to grow thanks largely to the loyal customers who regularly recommend Cory’s Car Repairs to their friends and colleagues. Unlike many other businesses, here at Cory’s Car Repairs our customers are still the most important part of our business and they always will be. Our customers enable us to follow our passion each and every day and we are very grateful to them for doing so.

We never aim to be the cheapest, but we are always competitive. We treat all customers the same regardless of who they are, where they are from or how much technical knowledge they have.
